Acts

Phillip Brown

The Acts of the Apostles is a study of the life and times of the early church as depicted through the activity of the apostles of Jesus Christ.  It covers a period of time that spans from the last days of Jesus through the first imprisonment of the apostle Paul in Rome.  It covers the birth and growth of the church during the first century.

This class covers the book of Acts in regard to two periods of early church history.  First it covers the period of the home missions and then the period of foreign missions.  It touches the risen Christ and his disciples, the birth of the church, the church in Jerusalem, the missionary journeys, and Paul's imprisonment in Rome.  This study makes practical application of the work of the church and church growth in the first and twenty-first centuries.
